Key Context

A comprehensive look at the measurable environmental and social outcomes generated by our portfolio.

As we reflect on the past year, we are thrilled to share the Clean Energy Local Currency Fund's 2025 Annual Impact Report. This year has been defined by accelerated deployment, rigorous impact measurement, and tangible improvements in the communities where our portfolio companies operate.

Key Environmental Metrics

Our primary environmental objective is the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions through the displacement of diesel generators. In 2025, our portfolio of solar C&I and mini-grid projects successfully avoided 21,197 tonnes of CO2 equivalent.

Furthermore, the projects we financed generated over 45,000 MWh of clean electricity, providing reliable power to businesses that previously suffered from frequent grid outages and high diesel costs.

Driving Social and Economic Growth

The impact of reliable energy extends far beyond emissions reductions. It is a fundamental driver of economic growth. In 2025, our investments directly supported 217 Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), enabling them to reduce operating costs by an average of 30% and reinvest those savings into their core businesses.

"Energy access is the foundation upon which education, healthcare, and economic empowerment are built."

Job creation also remained a strong focus. The construction and ongoing maintenance of our funded projects created 226 new, high-quality jobs in the green economy, with a specific emphasis on training and employing local youth.
